International Microwave Symposium, Hawaii and Nijmegen, The Netherlands, June 7, 2017  –  Ampleon today announced the launch of a multi-purpose 20 Watt single-stage RF power amplifier driver transistor. The BLP9G0722-20G is a cost-effective 28 V LDMOS device that targets a wide range of applications from 0.4 to 2.7 GHz.

Offering a peak efficiency 3 to 5 percentage points higher, a peak power 0.5 dB greater and a thermal resistance (Rth) a third (c. 1K/W) of other LDMOS devices currently available on the market, the BLP9G0722-20G is an improved and lower cost drop-in replacement for existing solutions. Its broad-band capability makes the device suitable for use in a vast variety of designs. Particular care has been taken in reducing the Rth and its variation in production to ensure stable quality and performance.

Offered in a TO270 plastic package, the BLP9G0722-20G is fully released and available from stock from authorized distributors of Ampleon.
