New 1900 W RF LDMOS transistor from Ampleon delivers maximum power and ruggedness at 50 / 55 V

Nijmegen, The Netherlands, April 30, 2025 – Ampleon today announced the release of the ART1K9FH, a new 50 V / 55 V RF LDMOS transistor, delivering up to 1900 W of output power. Designed for operation under demanding conditions, this device sets new benchmarks for ruggedness and reliability in industrial, medical, and scientific applications where equipment must withstand severe load mismatches.

Built on Ampleon’s proprietary Advanced Rugged Technology (ART) platform, the ART1K9FH operates up to 500 MHz and is capable of withstanding load mismatches up to 65:1 VSWR. It is housed in a SOT539A air-cavity ceramic package that supports efficient heat dissipation and long-term device stability. Target applications include plasma generators, CO₂ laser drivers, industrial and medical RF heating systems, particle accelerators, as well as FM and VHF broadcast transmitters.

The ART1K9FH combines high ruggedness with low thermal resistance and can deliver maximum output power from a standard 50 V supply. It is well suited for high-power solid-state amplifier designs that require compact, efficient, and robust RF building blocks.
