Ampleon recognizes the vital importance of high quality in electronic components and its critical effect on the viability and economics of finished equipment. This is especially true for semiconductors, which often perform critical circuit functions, such as handling high frequencies and transmitting high-speed digital data - often in harsh environments.

At Ampleon, we are constantly striving to improve our products and processes to ensure they reach the highest possible quality standards. We drive continuous process improvements using a variety of tools and approaches (for example Six Sigma, Zero Defects program, CMMi assessments and the exchange of best practices across all our business segments) and apply the PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) cycle, enabling us to work smarter, reduce cycle times and delight our customers. Our headquarters and manufacturing site are ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 27001 certified and we work closely with our major customers to continuously advance quality. Our main R&D sites are ISO 9001 certified.

This cooperation with customers includes working to refine test methods, match products to applications and ensure correct application conditions. Feedback on quality levels achieved on customer assembly lines and in service is a vital and continuous part of this collaboration. It measures the quality that really matters – the quality experienced by our customers – which, in turn, directly influences their reputation in the market.

ISO 27001 at Ampleon

The ISO 27001  International Standard specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system within the context of the Ampleon organization. This standard also includes requirements for the assessment and treatment of information security risks tailored to the needs of the Ampleon organization. The requirements set out in the ISO 27001 standard are generic and are intended to be applicable to all locations / sites of Ampleon.

ISO 27001 provides a framework for Ampleon to implement and maintain effective controls to protect our information assets. This includes protecting information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, destruction, or loss.

Why is ISO 27001 important to Ampleon?

  1. Protecting sensitive information
ISO 27001 helps Ampleon to protect its sensitive information, such as customer data, intellectual property, and financial records. By following the standard, Ampleon can implement controls that reduce the risk of data breaches, unauthorized access, and other security incidents.

  2. Enhancing business continuity
Effective information security is essential for Ampleon’s business continuity. When systems are down or data is compromised, it can lead to significant financial losses and reputational damage. ISO 27001 helps Ampleon to identify and mitigate risks that could disrupt our operations.

  3. Demonstrating compliance with regulations
Ampleon has specific data privacy and security regulations that it must comply with. ISO 27001 helps Ampleon to meet these requirements, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in Europe.

  4. Promoting a culture of information security
ISO 27001 is not just about implementing technical controls; it also emphasizes the importance of a security culture within the Ampleon organization. This includes raising awareness of information security risks, training employees, and encouraging them to report suspicious activity etc.

  5. Building customer trust
In today's digital age, customers are increasingly aware of the importance of data privacy. Organizations that are certified to ISO 27001 can demonstrate to their customers that they take their data security seriously. This can lead to increased customer loyalty and trust.

  6. Enhancing risk management
ISO 27001 provides a structured approach to risk management, helping Ampleon to identify, assess, prioritize, and treat our information security risks. This proactive approach helps Ampleon to avoid costly security incidents and business disruptions.

  7. Providing a competitive advantage
In an increasingly competitive market, organizations that can demonstrate their commitment to information security are at an advantage. ISO 27001 certification can help Ampleon to attract and retain customers, partners, and investors.
