Leading through innovation and technical advancement

SCROLL DOWN

Adehl Araño Jr. has dedicated a decade of his career to Ampleon, where he has played a pivotal role in advancing technical capabilities and now driving continuous innovation in Test and Product Engineering (TPE), RF, and Sensor technologies. His leadership is rooted in a vision of operational excellence, team collaboration, and pushing the boundaries of what is possible in semiconductor manufacturing.

Adehl’s journey reflects Ampleon’s culture of nurturing talent and empowering leaders who inspire progress. By championing innovation and technical advancement, he strengthens Ampleon’s position as a global industry leader while showcasing the company as a place where passionate professionals can thrive, innovate, and make a lasting impact.

About your journey at Ampleon: you have been with the company for almost 10 years. What has been the most memorable milestone in your career so far?

The most memorable milestone was being chosen to lead the TPE team. Transitioning from a purely technical role to a managerial one challenged me to discover leadership qualities I was not fully aware of. Leading the NPI team for a time further strengthened my confidence. Today, I am leading the Test Product and Process as part of Ampleon Philippines Internal Manufacturing.

How do you balance technical expertise with leadership skills in managing a diverse team?

I see it as being both the map that shows where we want to go, and the tour guide who sets the right pace. I stay hands-on while focusing on guiding and mentoring the team, empowering them to own execution. I believe in leading by example, turning problem-solving and structured solutions into action. Clear, empathetic communication is essential - ensuring everyone feels heard, valued, and aligned.

What does leading through innovation and technical advancement mean to you personally?

For me, it means shaping the future, pushing boundaries, and striving for progress. By challenging what is possible, we inspire people to unlock their creativity and contribute to meaningful breakthroughs.

How does Ampleon’s culture support both personal and professional growth for its employees?

Ampleon’s culture actively supports growth through a wide range of programs and initiatives. These include trainings such as Work Attitude Values Enhancement (WAVE), Allison, and LinkedIn Learning; development programs like Great Place to Work (GPtW), Health and Well-Being, the Competence Framework, and Leadership initiatives; as well as knowledge-sharing sessions like TIPTALK, Balikatan with our General Manager, and Focus Meetings. The list goes on and each of these efforts is taken seriously by the leadership team, ensuring employees have the tools and support to grow. I am confident that Ampleon is setting a benchmark for a best-in-class culture.

Future & inspiration: what personal values or principles guide you as a leader?

I follow five guiding principles. 1. Be a START Player – be result-oriented, take pride in your work and value the effort of your contribution. 2. Stay balanced – make your team healthy and happy. Give the team time to take a breath and not burn out. 3. Share your magic – sharing your knowledge and working diligently with the team. 4. Build good relationships – build trust and mutual respect, as this will build communication and collaboration. 5. Continue to learn – the world that we work and live in is always changing. It is important to create space to grow and adapt.
