The Management Team

The Board of Ampleon consists of 8 members, each of whom is responsible for a specific business area, division or operation. All of them are experts in their respective fields and most of them draw on long-term experience in our industry. The team is headed by Reinier Beltman who was appointed CEO in 2015.

Reinier Beltman

Chief Executive Officer

Reinier Beltman is CEO of Ampleon and prior to that was Vice President and General Manager of the Business Line RF Power at NXP. He holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and started his career as a designer at Philips.

Prior to his current assignment he has worked in several R&D and managerial (business) roles in Philips Semiconductors, LSI Logic and NXP in the Netherlands, USA and Taiwan.

Frans van Heesbeen

Vice President Human Resources

Frans van Heesbeen is the VP of Human Resources. He holds a master degree in Law. Furthermore he participated in an INSEAD Leadership program (in Fontainebleau and Chicago) and the Advanced Executive HR program of Dave Ulrich in Michigan.

He has over 25 years of experience in different HR (leadership) roles in multiple international companies, among them AT&T, KPMG and NXP. He also worked as consultant and interim manager for a total of 5 years.

Harold Verhoeven

Vice President and General Counsel

Harold holds a degree in Law from Groningen University. Before joining Ampleon, he was the Corporate Legal Counsel at SPGPrints Group, manufacturer of equipment and consumables for the textile and graphics printing business. Previous assignments include positions as a legal consultant and as an attorney at law.

Michael Richter

Dr. Michael Richter

Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer

Dr. Michael Richter is the CMO of Ampleon and responsible for the Mobile Broadband and MultiMarket business within Ampleon. He holds a doctor degree in Economics.

Before joining Ampleon, Michael Richter was General Manager Product Line Base Station at NXP. Previously he was the Division Vice President at Intel. Since 2001 Michael Richter held several management positions at Infineon. He has more than 25 years of in-depth experience in the High-Tech industry.

Dr. Nick Pulsford

Senior Vice President / Chief Technology Officer

Dr. Nick Pulsford is the CTO of Ampleon and is responsible for the technology portfolio within Ampleon. He holds a PhD degree in Semiconductor Physics researching low temperature semiconductor heterostructures.

Nick has 25 years of experience in semiconductor business, starting his career at Philips Research Laboratories. He subsequently moved to Philips Semiconductors (later NXP) to work on RF technology and has managed R&D teams developing a range of RF products, including PA modules, Bluetooth, WLAN, BAW filters, SATCOM, CATV and infrastructure. He has worked for over 5 years in the RF Power business and played a key role in establishing Ampleon’s R&D organization.

Wei Li

Dr. Wei Li

Senior Vice President Worldwide Sales

Dr. Wei Li is Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Ampleon. He holds a doctor degree in Electronics Engineering.

Before joining Ampleon, Wei Li was General Manager at Fairchild Taiwan. From 2010 to 2013 he was Vice President of Asia Sales and Business Development at Volterra which was acquired by Maxim Integrated. Wei Li started his career as an R&D engineer in fiber optical communications and data communications/network communications at Bell Northern Research, Madge Networks, Nortel and Lucent. He has more than 20 years of experience in engineering, product and sales management across Europe, the US and Asia.

Taco Zwemstra

Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Taco Zwemstra holds a Master in Electronics and Electrical Engineering. Before joining Ampleon he held several technical and managerial functions. He started as a Research Scientist for Philips Research Laboratories and held assignments for with Philips Semiconductors / NXP Semiconductors in the US, UK and The Netherlands. Over time he moved from engineering towards leadership positions, covering a wide range of Operations functions in a variety of global business settings. 

After a short period with Trident Microsystems, who acquired NXP’s TV and STB activities, he returned to NXP to lead Operations for the Power and Lighting business, after which he moved to RF Power (in 2015 continued as Ampleon) where he now serves as COO and is responsible for Procurement, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and IT.
